The latest chapter in our Family Reserve series showcases the art of barrel selection and blending. For the 2026 release, we carefully chose and blended Sleepy Bear aged from 2 to 4 years in a combination of Buffalo Trace Bourbon and Buffalo Trace Rye whiskey barrels, creating a layered and exceptionally refined barrel-aged experience. Rich notes of dark chocolate, caramelized sugar, vanilla, and oak intertwine with the subtle spice and depth contributed by the rye barrels. The result is a silky, full-bodied imperial stout with remarkable complexity, balancing decadent sweetness with warming barrel character and a lingering finish.
