Dark Matter Bourbon County Stout Barrel Aged Coffee 12oz Bag

Tis' the season, and BCS is BACK! We're stoked to once again collaborate with Goose Island on this Chicago tradition. We carefully selected a washed San Isidro that expressed floral, sweet notes on its own to age in these boozy barrels. Before aging Goose Island's BCS in the barrels, they aged bourbon, soaking the charred wood with the spirit itself before housing the dark, rich stout for aging. We filled these bourbon and beer soaked barrels with the unroasted green coffee, allowing them to take on the characteristics of the barrel, soaking up the moisture remaining in the wood. After several months, these beans had taken on fruit notes and more complexity from the barrel!
