This coffee will warm the soul and brighten the darkest, coldest days. Let the cosmic caffeination invade the mind and spark the new year. Filling the bag this cold January is a blend of two coffees grown at the highest parts of our farming partners in Guatemala and El Salvador.
First up we have a staple at Finca San Jeronimo, the most cultivated coffee on the farm, and a cultivar used for our fermentation experiments each year, a washed Catuai. The SJM team refers to the elevation of this coffee as “Volcan” because it is grown at the top of their farm on the side of Volcan Atitlan.
Continuing our upward momentum, a natural Bourbon from El Corozo is the second coffee of this blend. A farm located on the highest peak in El Salvador, Volcan Santa Ana is the perfect setting to grow coffee, gentle morning sun, volcanic soil, and high altitude.
