Phase Three Kentucky Hugs Barleywine 12oz

19 months ago we conceptualized a barleywine that would complement what has become one of our most sought-after beers, Arabesque. While Arabesque takes barleywine to the extreme utilizing a pretty complex grain bill and going on the high end of the SRM scale for color, we took a more simplistic approach with Kentucky Hugs. This more traditional barleywine is made up of maris otter base malt, with just three different caramel malts on top of it. Aged for 19 months in younger Heaven Hill bourbon casks, this barleywine is focused more on caramel and nuanced barrel character. 13.7% ABV
